Counting of Straight Lines :
The chapter on Analytical Reasoning involves the problems relating to the counting of geometrical figures in a given complex figure. The systematic method for determining the number of any particular type of figure by the analysis of the complex figure would be clear from the examples that follow.
Example: In the following question, find the minimum number of straight lines required to make the given figure.
A. 16
B. 17
C. 18
D. 19
Answer : B
Explanation: The figure may be labelled as shown.
The borizontal lines are IK, AB, HG, and DC i.e. 4 in number . The vertical lines are AD, EH, JM, FG and BC i.e. 5 in number. The slanting lines are IE, JE , JF, KF, DE, DH, FC and GC i.e . 8 in number. Thus , there are 4+5+8 = 17 straight lines in the figure .
Example: In the following question, find the minimum number of straight lines required to make the given figure.
A. 11
B. 14
C. 16
D. 17
Answer : B
Explanation : The figure may be labelled as shown .
The horizontal lines are AK, BJ, CI , DH, and EG i.e. 5 in number. The vertical lines are AE, LF, and KG i.e. 3 in number. The slanting lines are LC, CF, FI, LI, Ek and Ag i.e. 6 in number . Thus , there are 5+3+6 = 14 straight lines in the figure

My experience with Abhyas is very good. I have learnt many things here like vedic maths and reasoning also. Teachers here first take our doubts and then there are assignments to verify our weak points.
A marvelous experience with Abhyas. I am glad to share that my ward has achieved more than enough at the Ambala ABHYAS centre. Years have passed on and more and more he has gained. May the centre flourish and develop day by day by the grace of God.
Being a parent, I saw my daughter improvement in her studies by seeing a good result in all day to day compititive exam TMO, NSO, IEO etc and as well as studies. I have got a fruitful result from my daughter.
I have spent a wonderful time in Abhyas academy. It has made my reasoning more apt, English more stronger and Maths an interesting subject for me. It has given me a habbit of self studying
My experience with Abhyas academy is very good. I did not think that my every subject coming here will be so strong. The main thing is that the online tests had made me learn here more things.
It has a great methodology. Students here can get analysis to their test quickly. We can learn easily through PPTs and the testing methods are good. We know that where we have to practice
Abhyas Methodology is very good. It is based on according to student and each child manages accordingly to its properly. Methodology has improved the abilities of students to shine them in future.
My experience was very good with Abhyas academy. I am studying here from 6th class and I am satisfied by its results in my life. I improved a lot here ahead of school syllabus.
